El Valle Golf Resort is located in the Murcia region on the Costa Calida in the south east of Spain; it is just 20 mins drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport & 55 mins from Alicante.

Golf
Situated on Polaris world’s most exclusive resort is the El Valle Desert Links golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Nestled at the foot of the Carrascoy Mountains El Valle is arguably the finest desert links course in Europe. It is a superb 18 hole par 71 course with water hazards and strategically placed bunkers, a joy to play for both experts and beginners alike.


The stunning clubhouse has fantastic views over the course and comprises of:  Spike bar, Grill Restaurant, Clover Bar, Supermarket, Golf shop & cash points.
As a guest of the owner you are also entitled to play Golf & use the facilities on the other Polaris World Resorts which together with El Valle form the Nicklaus golf trail and currently includes  La Torre (5 mins drive away),  Mar Menor (20 mins) & Hacienda Riquelme  (15 mins). A courtesy bus service currently operates between the sites several times a day.

 

 

Coast, beach

& local area

El Valle golf resort is just 20 mins drive away from the miles of sandy beaches & warm waters of the Mar Menor with its extensive water sports. These include Jet Skiing, Wind Surfing, Sailing, Snorkeling, Scuba Diving & Fishing.  The extensive level promenades that run alongside the beaches from San Pedro del Pintar to Santiago del Ribera are perfect for cycling or a relaxing walk. Along the way are many beachside cafes and bars.
 
The city of Murcia is 15 minutes away; it is a beautiful historic city with stunning architecture and a grand cathedral. There are numerous restaurants, bars & shops. Nearby is the Water Park (Terra Aqua Murcia) and Animal Park (Terra Natura Murcia) which provide a wonderful family day out. The famous Roman port and city of Cartagena is a 25 minute drive.

 

 

Shopping

 

 

 

The cities of Murcia and Cartagena both boast excellent shopping facilities.

At San Javier, 20 minutes drive away, is Dos Mares shopping mall which includes 10 pin bowling, cinema and an extensive food hall.

 

Towards Murcia, 20 minutes in the other direction is Nueva Condominia, a large shopping mall with some 200 shops, a huge range of restaurants, 10 pin bowling and 6 screen cinema.

 

 

Other

For football fans look up Real Murcia, they are playing in the Spanish Premier League. They have a new purpose built stadium just to the north of the city next door to Nueva Condominia, so why not combine your shopping day with a football game.

 

For nature lovers, enjoy exploring this area known as the garden of Spain with its outstanding natural beauty. There are many national parks and an abundance of wildlife and birds to be discovered.

 

Lovers of History can visit the Roman port of Cartagena the Milennial Port of the Mediterranean known 2000 years ago as Carthagonova and Murcia City with its historic cathedral (1388) are just a short drive away and worth a visit.

 

Soft sandy beaches with numerous play areas for children, coupled with the calm waters of the Mar Menor make it ideal for families. There area extensive facilities for jet skiing, wind surfing, fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving.
